Your sense of self is not the real you
but rather an image captured on a mental screen
like a photograph is on paper.
Any fixed identity is born of a loss regained,
like finding the fossil of a once living creature.
Hold the palms of your mind apart
like two mirrors facing each other
bouncing reflections back and forth
forming a corridor leading to infinity.
Now place yourself in this fractal hallway
so that you are looking back at yourself
looking back at yourself endlessly.
Let the illusion that you are anything
other than awareness dissolve.
Notice the act of just being a spectator
looking out your domed window.
