for Ken Wilber
When God's supernatural darkness falls
It forces the dismantling of our walls
And strips the self with a devouring hand
Leaving us naked with no place to stand
Upon a groundless ground made of energy
Where we merge and meet our true identity.
Even the trail of our journey's steps
Disappear in this almighty eclipse.
A blissful emptiness replaces our vacancy
That dreams of a life filled with felicity.
Freed from the ego's karmic needs
Replaced by love's eternal ease
And the burning desire that our souls release
What the divine on earth wants to unleash
In waves that make all our activity
An endless expression of heaven's harmony.
Descending from these timeless peaks
Are fount-filled angels made to reach
Our human need to blissfully release
Into this life an evolving peace.
