At The Heart of It All

Every world, and every reality,
is inhabited by guardians of being.

But even ten thousand buddhas
cannot enlighten you.

To discover the truth
you have to penetrate
the ultimate paradox:

The window you're looking through
is also the screen of a story
shaped into existence
like a tubular dream
bubbling into existence
out of a supernal emptiness
that stretches up, down, and out forever.

You are never in such good company
as when you are alone meeting the Alone.

Even the angels know
and live by this eternal truth.
It is what sustains them
as they lovingly do the lightwork they do.

Of course, meditation can help you realize
or remember this truth more often,
but meditation is really for people
who don't love the truth enough
to feel its presence in the heart always.

Remember this:
You have all the love in the universe
living inside in your human heart
that can burst like a balloon
or an exploding star anywhere, anytime.

Because you know the membrane is just an illusion.

Let your loving light shine
even when the world
tries to shut it down
with its inevitable wounding.

In your deepest depths,
you are also igneous rock
below whatever appears
on the surface of this earth.
And the sweetness of all love
lavishly flows from it like magma
that cools into obsidian on the suface.

Glassy, mirror-like witnessing awareness
extending indefinitely and without boundaries.
